From the 2nd to the 5th February, Ghiott will be exhibiting at the most important confectionery trade fair of the world, ISM 2020.
If you thought the city of Cologne was famous for its fragrant ‘Eau’, or maybe for its cathedral, or even for the river Rhine, think again. Every year for the past 50 years, Cologne has been the location for the most important confectionery & snack trade fair of the world ISM.
Ghiott will be obviously attending also this year with a booth filled with all of our products!

Ghiott’s news for ISM 2020
First and foremost, Ghiott will be launching his chocolate bars with natural extracts and candied fruits, with a new brand Ghiott Firenze. This launch will come along a new packaging and new lines for our artisanal chocolate, which will now be easier to link to our core company and our quality.
Of course, we couldn’t have started 2020 without an all new line of chocolate Easter Eggs under the brand Ghiott Firenze. Our Easter eggs gadgets have changed too, and these year they’ll be themed as follows:
• Travel gadgets, for all travellers at heart out there.
• Tech gadgets, for those who can’t go anywhere without their technology.
• Green gadgets, the ones we’re most passionate about, as they include little seeds that can be planted and they grow, into basil for example.
ISM Cologne turns 50
The first ISM was hosted in Cologne in 1971. If we take a look at how we were there, and at what we are now, we can see how much has changed in the confectionery field. From the first supermarkets that conquered consumers with their shelves filled with different products, presented with charming wisdom, nowadays we’re starting to purchase mainly on the web, where our consumption patterns are dictated by AI and big data.
We believe ISM keeps being at the centre of of our trade because here producers and buyers can meet, discuss, and of course try new products, and can evaluate first-hand their possible impact on the consumers.
In fact, ISM slogan reads ‘Everything the heart desires’, and so it offers: more than 1600 exhibitors from all over the world, more than 38.000 visitors from 145 different countries, in a fair that measures 120.000 mq. Basically a gigantic cookie jar!
